Choose sender cleanup from a message and review the exact email address and accounts. It works on downloaded matches. Sent mail and drafts are protected; starred mail stays protected unless you include it. Review the count before continuing.
Trash, or a proper goodbye?
Choose Move to Trash for a recoverable cleanup, or Permanently remove for an irreversible deletion. ANIMAIL explains the selected scope and asks you to confirm permanent removal. Completed cleanup refreshes the mailbox and local saved-message counts.
Empty Trash, right where it belongs.
Use Empty Trash from File, the Trash folder context menu or the Trash view. Review one account or all accounts and the number of downloaded Trash messages before confirming. Cleanup history also provides a route to this review.
No surprise extra sweep.
Empty Trash uses the reviewed snapshot of downloaded messages. New arrivals after that review are left alone; messages that have not downloaded are outside its scope. You can optionally review Empty Trash after sender cleanup, without silently purging other mail. Offline operations stay queued, and uncertain provider outcomes are held for review.
