The website.
This website serves product pages, original art and release information. It does not ask for your mailbox password, send email from its playground, or include advertising, analytics trackers or third-party fonts. Hosting and download providers necessarily process network requests, including IP addresses and ordinary server/security logs. Their processing and retention are not independently verified here.
Your Windows mail client.
ANIMAIL connects directly to the email providers you configure for IMAP and SMTP. It is not an email-hosting provider. Passwords are encrypted by Windows in the app profile; the Outbox journal is also Windows-encrypted. Downloaded mail, attachments, contacts, preferences and local drafts use a local IndexedDB cache that is not separately encrypted by ANIMAIL. Windows account and disk protection still matter.
What goes over the network.
Your provider receives the authentication and mail requests necessary to connect, synchronize and send. The app’s update checker requests a public release catalog from ASIA DESIGN LAB’s download service; this request contains ordinary connection metadata, not your mailbox password or message contents. Downloading an installer makes a request to the download host.
Images and audio.
Remote images in received messages are blocked. Embedded raster images may display. Website animal sounds start only after you enable sound and play a demonstration. The app microphone is requested when you choose Record; a voice note is sent only as part of a message you send through your provider.
Your choices.
You can use the synthetic preview mailbox, disconnect an account, keep independent backups, or stop the app through Quit ANIMAIL. Disconnecting removes the saved account credential and retains downloaded cache data. Normal uninstall retains the separate profile; review and remove local profile data yourself when appropriate after backing it up.
Contact.
ANIMAIL is a project by ASIA DESIGN LAB. For questions about this notice or a privacy request, use the official contact page. Your email provider has its own privacy terms and mailbox retention policies.
